What exactly is the purpose of URL in SEO ?
1. SEO and URL - URL

It's the title or heading of the content you post.
Your title decides how much traffic you can gain for your website,
The Hyphen(-) between each word in the URL google-partner-i-hope-you-knew is separated and considered as a separate search term and increases your search strategy by moving your posts to those keywords related search terms.
Example : I used google here (if anyone searches google , my post will rank among the google posts too ) , similar like that my posts will appear in partner , i , hope, you , knew .
Tip - Do yourself a research , search for a random page , any page. Check the first link that comes and press ctrl+f to find it's keyword density based on title and then go for second link, now check their word density . (Important thing Less content with more word density keeps you at peak )
2. SEO and URL - Content Word density

Using that, search for the keywords you use in the content,keyword density must relate to the URL/Heading you use ,
Example: i used google in more places in my post , so my page can rank among the leading posts.
That's the matter here , once the algorithm crawls through URL , it checks for Headings <h1><h2> tags etc.Those headings indicate the algorithm that it has a extremely qualified content, so kindly add one of your main keyword to every heading you use . Algorithm ranks pages based on the keywords density in the content which are similar to title and headings. So check for keyword density and optimize the page for SEO.
You can see many yellow lines in my scrolling bar which i indicated with red lines , it shows how much time i have used google to make my page rank in leading posts in google search term.
